Signed for Consumers
How much, where, until when. Signed once on your phone.
Signed is a check that banks, card apps and stores can add, for AI agents only. Sign a mandate once on your phone. Inside it, your agent’s purchases go through on their own. Anything outside it waits for you to sign or decline.

You decide what your agent can spend.
A mandate is a signed instruction for one AI agent: how much it can spend, until when, and where. You read it on your own phone and sign it once. Every purchase the agent prepares is checked against it.

- What your signature proves
- That you, on your enrolled phone, allowed this agent these merchants, this much, until this date.
- What it doesn’t prove
- That the agent chose well, that a merchant is who it says it is, or what was in the order.
You can end a mandate at any time. From then on, every purchase from that agent waits for you. Purchases already approved aren’t reversed.
What happens when your agent buys.
The check sits inside the bank, app or store that added it, right where money leaves. Your bank still makes the payment.

Sign a mandate
In the app you already use, your phone shows the agent, the limit and the merchants. Sign once with your face, fingerprint or PIN. Signed is designed never to receive or store biometric data.
- 02
Inside: automatic. Outside: your call
Every purchase is checked before money leaves. Inside the mandate, it goes through on its own when the agent’s key matches. Outside it, you get a notification with the agent, the amount and the item, and you sign or decline.
- 03
Keep the record
Every check is written to an evidence record: which agent, which mandate, what you signed, when and on which phone. Your bank, app or store keeps it, and you can read it. Any change to it shows.
Step through a mandate
Simulation only. No real keys, phones or payments.
Nothing is signed yet, so the agent can’t spend a cent on its own.

Read this demo as text
- Start: John Doe’s agent has asked his bank for a mandate: anything from Corner Market, up to $200.00 a month, until December 31. Nothing is signed, so every purchase from the agent waits.
- After John Doe signs the mandate: the agent can spend at Corner Market within the limit. $0.00 of $200.00 used.
- When the agent tries $86.40 of weekly groceries at Corner Market: it’s inside the mandate and the keys match, so it’s approved on its own. His bank still makes the payment. $86.40 of $200.00 used.
- When the agent tries $129.00 of trail running shoes at Trailhead Outfitters: that merchant isn’t in the mandate, so the purchase is held. John Doe’s phone shows the agent, the amount and the item.
- If John Doe signs: the purchase goes to the bank, for this one purchase only, and the mandate doesn’t change. If he declines: nothing is paid, and the mandate doesn’t change.
- After John Doe ends the mandate: every new purchase from the agent waits for him. Purchases already approved aren’t reversed.

Built for banks, consumer finance apps and merchants.
Add the check where money leaves, for purchases an AI agent prepares. Your customers’ own payments don’t change. The agent holds a signed mandate instead of your customer’s password, and the customer, the account, the money and the payment all stay yours.

Questions people ask first
Do I need a new app?
No. The mandate screen lives inside the bank, app or store you already use. Your enrolled phone signs there.
Can my bank see what my agent bought?
Usually not. A bank or card app sees the merchant and the amount. The item is recorded as the agent describes it and isn’t checked there. A store that adds the check can match the item against its own order.
Does my agent get my bank password?
No. It holds a signed mandate you can end anytime. If you’ve already given an agent your password, your bank sees it as you, and Signed can’t see what it does.
What if my agent finds a better deal somewhere I didn’t list?
The purchase waits. Your phone shows the agent, the amount and the item, and you can sign for that one purchase, sign a new mandate or decline.
Does Signed spot a rogue or hacked agent?
No. Signed doesn’t judge the agent. It checks each purchase against your mandate. A hacked agent is boxed in by the mandate, not detected by it, and a purchase inside the mandate goes through even if the agent was tricked.
If my agent makes a bad purchase inside my mandate, who pays?
That isn’t settled yet. Worldpay, a payment processor, writes that “no liability shift exists yet” for purchases made by agents,8 and PNC’s chief executive has said laws on liability shifting would have to be passed.9 A signed mandate is evidence of what you allowed and when. Signed makes no promise about who carries a loss. Ask your own counsel before relying on it.
What does it cost?
You don’t pay Signed. You stay a customer of your bank, app or store, and they’re who Signed works with. Pricing for them isn’t set yet.
